I thought I'd launch this new blog feature with a little welcome.
Open2it is about sharing ideas, and I couldn't think of a better way to encourage open discussion than to provide every member with their own blog. My hope is that having your own blog will stimulate many interesting ideas and comments.
If you're not registered yet, do so now and get started today. It's easy.
This blog has a special format. All member posts can be viewed either as an integrated whole, or as the weblog of an individual. The public can view and search the blog, and they can link to your content, or even add it to their RSS feed.
I have included some great functionality and I'm still adding and tweaking. Open2it members can comment on and rate your posts and you can view their comments inline or in your control panel. There are numerous ways to configure your blog. You can add pictures and soon you will be able to add video.
One great possibility for anyone who already has a Google AdSense account is that you can place your own Google ads on your blog. That way, you get some supportive revenue for your hard work and original thoughts. Just contact me for details.
Be sure to customize your member profile by adding your interests and selecting an image avatar. I just created and added 60 great images to the gallery.
I am working on documentation and FAQ about all of the different user functions for the blog and user profiles, but most things are very intuitive.
